About Therapy

  Talking with a therapist can help you manage emotional difficulties, personal problems, conflict and distress. If you are feeling anxious,depressed or are having relationship concerns, counselling or psychotherapy can be helpful.  
  Counselling provides a safe place to explore thoughts and feelings and my aim is to help you make your own choices to move forward.  
Short or long-term options are available. Counselling is typically short term between 8-12 sessions with myself. Counselling can be useful to address a particular issue in your life at present. Psychotherapy is typically open-ended, allowing time to explore your world and perhaps thinking about the meaning of your life and your experiences.  If the issues you are facing have been with you for some time and you wish for a space to consider them – psychotherapy is likely to be most helpful.
