Helping Navigate Life's Challenges
Starting Therapy with
Maria Morahan
I help people with a range of issues, but I’m often contacted about anxiety and depression.
I mainly work with young adults and specialise in wellbeing support for postgraduate students and university researchers. I also support people through early life transitions and crises.
Anxiety, in particular, can be hard to manage. As an experienced professional therapist, I understand the challenges anxiety can bring to daily life.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I abide by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
How Therapy Can Help
Sometimes life can be a struggle – only made harder by events such as a relationship breakdown or bereavement. For lots of people, anxiety, panic attacks or depression can make the day-to-day difficult to navigate.
We’re all different, but whatever you’re going through, counselling and psychotherapy can help you to take control of your life again.
I offer counselling sessions tailored to your individual needs. We will work collaboratively to ensure the therapy experience is tailored to you.
Crisis Support: I do not offer crisis or out-of-office hours support. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact Samaritans at 116 123 (free, 24/7) or visit your nearest A&E department
Issues I Can Help With

- Anxiety
- Cultural Issues
